Hey, i don't know whether or not the guy was lying . Maybe he just carried around all that stuff. Maybe he stole it. Maybe his brother was the famous guy and he murdered his brother and assumed his brother's identity and all....and maybe not.
But Nobody in that movie is who they claim to be. Nancy Love is not really "Anne" She's a big liar! The pimp guy is well, okay... he's a pimp guy. Eve is actually just a whore who hit the big time or saved her pennies or gave class A blowjobs or she's got a spring in her twat! Pearl is, well, okay, she's just Pearl. But we know one thing!! We know MIckey is Nuts! He's a bubble off plume. He's one brick short of a load and he's gonna blow when we least expect it. I love the character of Mickey. He actually carries that ticking time bomb personality through-out this movie. I dug that!

He was a bastard and a thief and a hater of women and a homosexual for cryin' out loud! BUT before he went to prison, he really loved Miss Amelia and the dumb bitch threw him out! That killed him all over again. He intiially tried desperately to reach above his bad habits. H e got a job in that cotton mill, stopped seducing the pretty girls in town, stopped gettin' drunk and saved all his money.. He started going to church and then he marries this stone-heart and she takes his money and makes him sleep out in the garage! Actually, in the book, he didn't even get a mattress. There wasn't even a garage. She sent him back to the streets.He slept down in the swamp, humiliated and hurt beyond degree, his heart bleeding, plotting her death! I'm going to read this story again...... "
