Deadwood
Keith Carradine took on the role of Western icon James Butler "Wild Bill" Hickok on the HBO series "Deadwood" for the first four episodes during Season 1. He stole the show! KC's Bill was heroic, but flawed, displaying flashes of courage and conscience, but also a self-awareness of his own somewhat (at this point in life) craven impulses. As usual, when The Keith is involved in a project, all the actors around him have to give great performances to meet his high standards. Great portrayal of a man about whom many stories are still told...
Using Wild Bill to introduce the principal characters in the drama was a great device...
KC as "Wild" Bill rode into town...and into our hearts...
BONUS!! Below are three caps of Cade Carradine, Keith's son, as "Jubal" in Deadwood (season 2)...Okay he's chewing tobacco, that's why his cheeks seem so puffy--hehe!

Man, I savored every moment of screen time he got. The guy who played Jack McCall is a favorite actor of mine also. He was in No Country For Old Men and The Assassination of Jesse James By the Coward Robert Ford... I loved Jack McCall too... with that one dead eye lid... great stuff.
