Eye On The Sparrow
UNDER CONSTRUCTION!
In this 1987 film, based on actual events, KC and Mare Winningham star as James Lee and Ethel "Cissie" Hollar. Their characters meet, fall in love, and marry. Then, as many married couples do, they decide to start a family. Problem is, they are both legally blind and face many obstacles on the path to adopting a child--not only from bureaucrats, but well-meaning friends and family. Conchata Ferrell also puts in a fine performanace as a social worker who tries to help the couple in this movie.

Note from dexgal: This movie is extremely difficult to locate on VHS, and I do not know if it was ever released on on DVD. If you can help us locate a copy, we'd really appreciate it!

I've seen this movie on the french TV - about 15 years ago- it was presented as a telefilm, and I vaguely remember it. KC has played several times with Mare Winningham, didn't he ? I'm not very fond of this actress but... maybe I'm too severe... They played together in A winner never quits (as far as I remember) and maybe another one)... Anyway, I'm gonna search for what I can find on this movie, though I would be surprised if it could be found easier in France than in the US !
